For those of you who don't know RedZag, you should get acquainted with this local bunch. I've had the fortunate pleasure of knowing the core duo, of Jimmy Redmon and Johnny Siegel, for quite some time and coming off a show a couple weeks ago at Decca they're quite finely tuned. Their debut album was reveled by WFPK's Marion Dries, in our December issue of Louisville Magazine, and tomorrow night should be truly magical with guest D'Arkestra.
One particular piece of cool is the venue in which everything will go down. I have personally never been to the 'Workhouse Ballroom', affectionately known as 'The Cave', but I'm quite stoked to check it out. It may be the best kept secret in town, doesn't hold all that many folks, but is nestled on the grassy knoll just before you get to Headliner's on the right as you go out Lexington Road from downtown. If you have to drive past it more than once you're better off not even being privileged to enter. Doors open at 8 and music lands promptly at 9. Check it out folks, you don't get a lot of chances.
