
Oldham County Library in LaGrange, Kentucky offers classes on how to turn your old books into purses. Make a few. Give them away. Keep one for yourself. This July 17th, workshop is only for ages 18 and older and there is a $5 fee to be submitted at the day of the workshop to cover material costs.
The Oldham County Public Library’s Main Library in LaGrange was granted Gold LEED certification from the US Green Building Council. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, a rating system for the design, construction and operation of environmentally friendly buildings. LEED nationally recognized as proof that a building is environmentally friendly and a healthy place to be. The Oldham County Public Library is the first public library in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to Achieve Gold LEED Certification.
