Located at City Hall in Prospect is the Lawrence C. Falk Library. It's the perfect time of year to get to know one's local library, what with schools around the county preparing to begin. If you're not looking for it, City Hall can be tricky to spot but it's well worth taking the time to drop by. It used to be considered just a reading center, but was renamed affer former Mayor Lawrence C. Falk, who did a lot to bring about its existance. Mr. Falk used to be the Mayor of Prospect. Upon arriving on the second floor, which is where the library is, you quickly see how cozy it is. Most of the books have been donated by local residents and, although it's not a large space, they have a great selection of books, including newer works. One thing they don't have to offer is the use of computers, but if you're just looking for a nice space to read and/or check out books or to hunker down and quietly do some homework, this is definitely a great place. Membership is free for residents of Prospect.

The library/reading center is located on the second floor of City Hall and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. until 5 P.M (6:30 P.M. on Mondays).. The address is 9200 U.S. 42, Prospect, KY.
