If hanging your artwork in a museum is one of your life goals, the Speed Museum is providing the first step in that process with a Print and Processes Studio Day on Oct. 8th from Noon to 3 p.m. Adults and children are invited to participate in making original prints using several techniques made popular by the modern artist Howard Hodgkin. The upcoming exhibit Howard Hodgkin: Print and Process that will open at the Speed on Oct. 23rd and run through February is the inspiration behind this workshop.

Local letterpress printer Hound Dog Press will also demonstrate traditional letterpress technique and show you how to create your own custom prints.

Admission to the museum is free for members, $10 for adults, $8 for children 3-17, $5 for children under 3. This workshop is included with the price of admission.

    About Julie Gross

I’m originally from Ohio, but have been a Louisvillian for half my life. I divide my time between hubby, 3 kids, too many pets, and the 930 Art Center. When I'm not, you'll find me running the trails in Cherokee or Jefferson Memorial Forest.
