If hanging your artwork in a museum is one of your life goals, the Speed Museum [4] is providing the first step in that process with a Print and Processes Studio Day on Oct. 8th from Noon to 3 p.m. Adults and children are invited to participate in making original prints using several techniques made popular by the modern artist Howard Hodgkin. The upcoming exhibit Howard Hodgkin: Print and Process that will open at the Speed on Oct. 23rd and run through February is the inspiration behind this workshop.
Local letterpress printer Hound Dog Press [5] will also demonstrate traditional letterpress technique and show you how to create your own custom prints.
Admission to the museum is free for members, $10 for adults, $8 for children 3-17, $5 for children under 3. This workshop is included with the price of admission.
