Sex, Hell, and presidental poll numbers.  This has nothing to do with any political campaign but rather the 2012-13 theatre season for Louisville Repertory Company.

During the 2012-13 season, Louisville Repertory Company will present three shows: November (October), No Exit (Feburary 2013), and Great American Sex Play (June 2013).  Exact locations and dates for all three plays have yet to be announced.

Louisville Repertory Company will open its season in October with the political comedy November.  Charles Smith is the incumbent during a presidential election cycle, and it's looking like he won't even come close to winning.  His staff has given up, his approval numbers are plummeting, and nuclear war may be on the horizon.

Smith is not ready to quit, however, and after pardoning a couple of turkeys he decides to risk everything in order to regain popularity and, possibly, the White House.  Amy Lewis-Zeigler will direct the David Mamet-created production.

Eternal torture awaits three people in No Exit.  The Jean Paul Satre-created production looks at the lives of the three souls bound together in a room in Hell.  Each soul is stripped to the core of what they really are, and all of the worst deeds are cleared of secrecy and shown in the brightest light.  There's no hiding, as there is no exit from this room.  Darren McGee will direct this production.

Finally, in time for spring flings, LRC will present the Great American Sex Play.  In the future, two Canadian scientists study the sex lives of six sexual deviants - two heterosexuals, two bisexuals, and two homosexuals. The study leads to humor and the meaning of sexual polarity.  Local playwright Brian Walker created the production, which Todd Zeigler will direct.
