The American Printing House for the Blind is hosting their open house Saturday, November 27th from 10:00-3:00. Located at 1839 Frankfort Avenue, the APH for the Blind offers guests a chance to write their names in braille, view the book of psalms from Helen Keller's bible, play a video game designed for a blind child, and view the latest in sonar/electronic devices for the blind as well as guide dog equipment. Locust Grove is also hosting a "Family Day" at their historic home located at 561 Blankenbaker Ln. next Friday the 26th from 10:00-4:30. Costumed demonstrators will be in the kitchen and wood-shop from 11-2 and the Locust Grove Dollhouse, an exact replica of Historic Locus Grove as it looked in 1979, will be unveiled in the log cabin.
