Now in its fourth year, the "festival for the rest of us" will take place July 8-10 at Apocalypse Brew Works and will feature 33 bands ranging from Americana to hard rock. Proceeds from Poorcastle Festival will go to a number of organizations, including Crescent Hill Radio 100.9 WCHQ FM, Musician's Emergency Resource Foundation and Louisville Leopard Percussionists.
A $5 day ticket ($10 for a 3-day pass) will grant you access to a full lineup of live music, food trucks and access to craft beer from Apocalypse. Last year, Poorcastle raised over $10,000.
“This was by far the most submissions we’ve ever received for Poorcastle,” Shaina Wagner, festival co-founder, said. “We received well over 200 inquiries from local bands wanting to perform, and it was absolutely grueling to have to say ‘no’ to so many incredible bands and artists. At the same time, we are so happy with who we have lined up this year, and it makes us extremely excited for future acts years to come.”
