OK guys, might you have happened to come up short in some way, shape, or form on Valentines day a few weeks ago with your lady? Well, if this sounds like the boat you may be in, then here is an opportunity for you to redeem yourself. Pop-rock hit makers, and self-proclaimers of being “genreless,” OneRepublic will make a tour stop on Thursday, March 10 to Horseshoe Casino’s Showroom. If there were ever a band that most females always seem to have a soft spot in their heart for, well this would be one of them.
OneRepublic bursted into the national spotlight back in 2007 with their debut album “Dreaming Out Loud” and after becoming a massively popular unsigned band on Myspace. Since the band’s 2007 debut, their popularity has grown at a pretty phenomenal pace. To date, “Dreaming Out Loud” has sold over 2 million copies worldwide, and the album’s first hit single Apologize grossed 10,331 spins in just one week, making it one of the most popular songs ever to hit the radio waves. You may also recognize some other singles from their debut album Stop and Stare, and Say (All I Need).
In 2009 OneRepublic released their second album “Waking Up,” which is yet to realize the massive success of their first album, but still landed them one more hit single with All the Right Moves, which peaked at #18 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
More recently there have been rumors swirling about an upcoming third album that has apparently been written while the band has been on the road, but nothing has been made official yet in terms of a release date or a title of the new album.
This is one middle-of-the-week concert you don’t want to miss, and again, an opportunity for all you guys out there who’ve got ground to make up with the girlfriends, Valentines Day blunder or not. So, this is a good start if nothing else.
