A year ago, brand-new and zealous members of the Crescent Hill neighborhood, my wife and I invited friends to join us an early December afternoon so we could all partake in the festivities that were promised to be part of Olde Tyme Christmas on Frankfort Avenue.
Unfortunately, either as a product of our unfamiliarity with the neighborhood or our lack of understanding regarding the event, we never found/made it to the party. This year, I sure hope it is a different experience.
Olde Tyme Christmas is set to run from 9am-8pm on Saturday and will feature events and festivities at different locations throughout the Frankfort Avenue corridor.
Here is a rough outline of what to expect. For more info on any of these events, click HERE.
9:00 a.m. - 15th Annual Santa Sprint and Stroll
9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. – Craft Sale, Yard Sale and Bake Sale at Third Lutheran Church
9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. – Holiday Bazaar at St. Mark's Episcopal Church
10:30 a.m. - Holiday Dog Walk
Noon until 3:00 p.m. - Santa Claus will be at Margaret's Consignment
12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. - Free trolley service up and down Frankfort Avenue, using FAT Trolley Hop route.
1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. - Free carriage rides (Horse Trams) as traffic control permits.
2:00 p.m. - The Good Neighbor, Business of the Year and Golden Antler Awards will be presented in front of Margaret's Consignments, located at 2700 Frankfort Avenue.
4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. – Peterson-Dumesnil House Candlelit Tour.
