If you are a fan of AMC’s Mad Men, then you will be sharing in the anguish of thousands of viewers as the last episode airs this Sunday night.  As the tradition goes, all good things must come to an end; but no one said we couldn’t do it with some style.  As a tribute to the show the Seelbach will be hosting an “Au Revoir to ‘Mad Men'” party in the Oakroom this Saturday, May 16.

The celebration kicks off at 6 p.m. with drinks followed by dinner at 7 p.m.  The Oakroom’s chef Patrick Roney has created a menu for an evening of classic hospitality, complete with a butler serving hors d’oeuvres.  Mixologist Jeremy Johnson of Meta will be creating drinks for guests to sip on just like the ones from the show.  "Both Chef Roney and I are sticking to the era," Johnson hinted. After all, what better excuse to drink an Old Fashioned?

The evening will be topped off with a performance from jazz duo Carly Johnson and Craig Wagner.  Reservations are mandatory, so to make yours call 807-Dine. Tickets are $85 a person and include dinner, drinks, and dancing.  Guests are encouraged to wear period-style clothing or even copy their favorite Mad Men character. Need a last-minute costume? Check out the Nitty Gritty.
