While Louisville’s WFPK Waterfront Wednesday is happening as I write this, Nashville’s similar radio station, Lightning 100, announced the lineup for its comparable event (even bigger, but still free), Live On The Green.

Live On The Green was, for its first years of existence, a monthly summer concert series that took place in Public Square Park in downtown Nashville. But last year due to an increase in popularity, organizers decided to turn their last few weeks into a full weekend festival.

Live on air today Lightning 100 announced its lineup, and if Louisvillians were wise, they would realize Nashville isn’t all that far and would make the drive for this free event (VIP tickets are available).

Lighting 100 has decided to keep the anticipation going by delaying the announcement of a few slots. The nearly complete lineup is as follows:

    Thursday August 20

    Lord Huron

    Shakey Graves

    Elliot Root

    Thursday August 27

    Houndmouth

    J. Roddy Walston & The Business

    Cold War Kids

    Thursday September 3

    Greg Holden

    The Delta Saints

    ??????

    Thursday September 10

    Civil Twilight

    Humming House

    Kopecky

    JD McPherson

    Delta Rae

    Rodrigo y Gabriela

    Friday September 11

Music City Mayhem winner (Battle of the Bands–esque contest)

    Turbo Fruits

    Zella Day

    ??????

    Big Data

    ??????

    Passion Pit

    Saturday September 12

    Mr. Steve

    The Districts

    Future Thieves

    Lennon & Maisy

    Kaleo

    Elle King

    Anderson East

    ??????

    All Them Witches

    ??????

    Ben Folds

If I were a betting man, I'd bet one of those final slots will be filled by Moon Taxi. They formed in Nashville, will be releasing an album this year and have made multiple appearances at Live On The Green in previous years.
