Lucky for us, art isn’t exclusive. It covers a wide range of mediums and the Land of Tomorrow (LOT) is happy to present an exhibit of what happens when visual art intersects with music. The Expanded Music Project will feature work from prominent artists in both spheres from all over the world. An opening reception is planned for Friday, Nov. 18th @ 7 p.m.
A shout out to Louisville artists in the show:
Heather Cantrell returns home to bring her “Study in Portraiture” to Louisville. Cantrell stages “Acts” in city-specific areas where she gathers props and costumes for her subjects to use and wear and then takes intriguing portraits. Her Louisville project I Want to Teach the World to Sing will focus on the distinct musical identity of the city.

Letitia Quesenberry teams up with psychedelic dub-pop duo Peaking Lights to create a sonic replication of a Japanese rock garden using record players, CD players, and cassette machines as stand-ins for rocks.
Jacob Huestis and musician EMA will team up to construct an interactive recording booth that will give gallery goers a chance to record their own “demo.”
Leslie Lyons will show photographs inspired by the David Bowie song “Who Can I Be Now?” The artist investigates the effects of her return to her childhood home.

Aurora Childs, Saiman Chow, the design firm Hirsuta, Geneva Jacuzzi, Andrea Stanislav, Thieves Like Us, and Raurouw with Shedding.
Admission is free and the exhibit will be on view Nov. 18th – Jan. 3rd. The Land of Tomorrow (LOT) is located at 233 W. Broadway.
