There will be fighting again Thursday night at Fourth Street Live! And no, we’re not talking about one juice-head against someone pretending to be “The Situation.”

We’re talking about the real thing - contenders not pretenders. Bellator Fighting Championships, a mixed-martial arts organization, is visiting Louisville for the second time this year. Bellator 30 will take place Thursday night at Fourth Street Live!

“Our last event at Fourth Street Live was a huge success, so it was a no-brainer to make a trip back to Louisville,” said Bellator chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney, who organization was also in town June 24. “We have a great local card to go along with a stacked main card. Our goal here is to over-deliver for the great fans in Louisville.”

The main card will feature a Bellator Season 4 welterweight qualifying match between Jacob “Tick Tock” McClintock (6-1) and Louisville’s own Brent Weedman (16-5-1).

Other featured matches on the main card include a Bellator special feature fight between Season 2 middleweight tournament finalist Bryan “The Beast” Baker (10-2) and battle-tested UFC and PRIDE veteran Jeremy Horn (85-19-5). The Bellator Season 3 bantamweight tournament semifinals will take place with Zack “Fun Size” Makovsky (10-2) going against Bryan Goldsby (15-8) and Ed “Wild” West (14-4) meeting Jose Vega (9-2).

Several other Louisville-based fighters will take to the octagon ring. They include middleweights John Troyer (10-6), Mike “The Crazii Cajun” Fleniken (3-2) and Mike O’Donnell (2-2) as well as featherweights Thomas “TJ” Barber (3-0) and B.J. Ferguson (5-2), who will meet in one match. Another match will feature Louisville heavyweights Ron “The Monster” Sparks (5-0) against Greg Maynard (2-0).

Doors open at 5 p.m. and fighting begins at 6 p.m. Tickets, which are available at www.ticketmaster.com, are $20 for general admission and $100 for ring-side seats. The event will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Net and highlights will be featured on NBC. Weigh-ins are at 8 p.m. tonight and can be seen live here.
