Part of being a Citizen Bourbon Ambassador in Louisville is finding smaller bourbon events where you can talk to Master Distillers one-on-one. Sometimes these events are in liquor stores or bars, but occasionally they are at restaurants and involve amazing food.
Saturday April 5, 2014 at The Village Anchor in Anchorage from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. you can try some bourbon maple syrup and bourbon butter on your pancakes and wash it down with a Bourbon Bloody Mary in a souvenir glass. Or try pork belly bread pudding with Maker's Mark sauce and a Maker's Shaker cocktail.
Perhaps the most exciting part of this event is that Bill Samuels, Jr. of Maker's Mark Distillery will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to answer all your burning bourbon questions. There's also a good possibility he will sign your bottles, so be sure to have those with you along with a marker just in case.
This event will fill up fast, so make your reservation by calling The Village Anchor at (502) 708-1850.
