Part of being a [4]Citizen [5]Bourbon [6]Ambassador [7]in Louisville is finding smaller bourbon events where you can talk to Master Distillers one-on-one. Sometimes these events are in liquor stores or bars, but occasionally they are at restaurants and involve amazing food.
Saturday April 5, 2014 at The Village Anchor [8] in Anchorage from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. you can try some bourbon maple syrup and bourbon butter on your pancakes and wash it down with a Bourbon Bloody Mary in a souvenir glass. Or try pork belly bread pudding with Maker's Mark sauce and a Maker's Shaker cocktail.
Perhaps the most exciting part of this event is that Bill Samuels, Jr. of Maker's Mark Distillery [9] will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to answer all your burning bourbon questions. There's also a good possibility he will sign your bottles, so be sure to have those with you along with a marker just in case.
This event will fill up fast, so make your reservation by calling The Village Anchor at (502) 708-1850.
