    Louisville is for Lovers
The local music collaboration “Louisville Is For Lovers” is releasing its “Life 2016” LP on February 5. A bunch of music from some of the city’s favorite bands - 31 tracks in all. You can download it for $8, order a hard copy for $15, or stream it here. But, come on, you know you want to buy it. It would also make a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for the music lover in your life.

    Iced Americano (LARGE) from Quills
I tried my first one Sunday after a long Saturday night. I think these are something I might develop a “Stage 4” clingy relationship with.

    “X-Files” at ATG
I love watching the new episodes of The X-Files at Against the Grain - because why host a viewing party when you can just crash one?

    Hitting the gym
Because it's January, we all gained extra pounds over Christmas and nearly every gym is currently packed with people trying to lose weight and opportunities to make new friends!

    Carrie Underwood
I’m not a pop country music fan, but I’d be lying if I said I haven’t blasted “He Don’t Cheat” in my car… several times a month. So, I guess I’m a closet Carrie Underwood fan, but shhhhh don’t tell. Underwood is playing the YUM! Center on Feb. 5, and there are still a few tickets for sale.

    Art at Revelry
If you don’t pay attention, you’ll walk right past all of the gorgeous art in the back of the shop. I just don’t have enough money to buy all the prints I want.

Valentine’s cards from Hound Dog Press
They’re brilliant, and not corny (except the ones that are intentionally corny). And there really is something to be said about a card or gift that was crafted, over one that was mass-produced. Plus, if you stop by the shop, Daisy the hound will be there to greet you.

"White Privilege" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
Saw them at the Palace last weekend and love this one. It's another serious ballad by Louisville's biggest musical guests of the week.

    Student Discounts
They're all over the city, you just have to ask. Once a student, always a student as long as you kept that old college id.
