Louisville Palace Announces Sister Venue, Mercury Ballroom

This morning, The Louisville Palace was excited to announce the name of its new sister-venue – Mercury Ballroom. This picturesque venue will be located on Fourth and Chestnut in the heart of downtown Louisville’s historic theatre district and will be composed of leading industry technology in audio, lighting and video, a VIP lounge experience, finely tuned room acoustics and premium amenities. Mercury Ballroom’s convenient location, ample parking, fine dining options, and premium hotel accommodations will make it an exemplary setting for locals and travelers who are looking for entertainment in the beautiful downtown district.

Mercury Ballroom’s will be located on a living piece of Louisville’s history: on old Theater Row in what was the Wright-Taylor Building. The Wright-Taylor building was built in 1928 to house small commercial businesses and is a beautiful two-story stone and terra-cotta building on the corner of Fourth and Chestnut, behind the Henry Clay building.  City Properties Group bought Wright-Taylor in 2005 when it had been vacant for nearly two decades and has been successfully renovating it since.

Along with the announcement of this intimate music venue, The Louisville Palace was also pleased to make their first show announcement that platinum-selling artist Christina Perri will perform on April 25, 2014. Perri is the first artist announced to perform at the Mercury Ballroom. According to their website, shows will be arriving in January 2014.

You can stay in the know by following The Louisville Palace’s announcements on their new sister-venue on Facebook, Twitter, and the website of The Louisville Palace and Mercury Ballroom.
