    • "A circuit judge plans to release new guidance on what information the state can withhold when it releases files on children who die or nearly die as a result of abuse or neglect. Franklin Circuit Judge Phillip Shepherd said Wednesday it seemed almost certain that rules the state had proposed to use would result in information being withheld that should be public under the law."     • "Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels is sending a slice of the state’s expected $1.8 billion in savings back to state workers. Daniels on Wednesday announced pay raises of up to 6 percent depending on state employees’ performance. Most will see a 2 percent increase under the plan." [WFPL]

In the small town of Heltonville, Indiana in Lawrence County sits an unassuming building, down a narrow drive; and inside is a last of its kind.  'We are the only United States manufacturing company, in dolls, that's left,' said Virginia Turner, owner and creator of Turner Dolls.  She makes dolls, and lots of them, but not as many as she used to."
