So here we are. It's January in Kentuckiana. We've had a few days with warm enough weather to play outside, but what do you do when it's too cold to go out? There are many options for indoor entertainment in the area, all with kids in mind.
A visit to your local library is a fun freebie. Most have children's programming, books and movies. Visiting a local candy shop like Fuzziwigs, Muth's Candy Store and Schimpff's makes for a fun activity and can be educational if they are making candy at the time of your visit. Art Sparks at the J.B.Speed Art Museum is educational and a lot of fun with many types of activities to participate in.

If you have young children at home, homeschool or are making plans for holidays/snow days this should help you out. Weekdays are generally less busy than weekends and non-school days. Many of the locations offer group rates, so call ahead for those if you are organizing a playdate.
