One of the newest and exciting ventures to hit New Albany, IN is the development of Liquid Sound Studios (LSS).  Liquid Sound Studios will be the ultimate mecca for artists in the Midwest.  This professional production company will offer services in sound recording, photography, and film through various partners including Louisville Headshots, Liquid Recording Group Inc, Wise Smith Management Group, JPKArtography.com, Charlie Wagner: Vice President at Trinity Angels Productions, Stone Mountain Indiana, and Hussain Ahmed Productions. Everything you need to complete a project will available in this self-contained location. There is no need to go elsewhere. Not only does this provide convenience, but you will also get exceptional service from their highly trained and talented team.

The project was born from Tyler Morrison’s vision. Morrison has worked with many notable producers and Tyler Morrison plays cello in the live recording room, Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Liquid Sound Studios in Greenville, Ind. Morrison, a percussionist for 27 years, has also played cello for 24 years, along with guitar and other instruments. (Photo by Brian Bohannon) engineers in the music business such as Clyde Brooks (studio drumming legend), Jeff Tomei  (Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20, Collective Soul), Greg Archilla (Matchbox Twenty, Collective Soul, Safety Suit), David Z (Prince, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepard), Peter Coleman (Treasure Isle Recorders in Nashville,TN), and Tom Baker (Stone Temple Pilots, Hoobastank, Beastie Boys, Ray Charles, Rascal Flatts, Sevendust). Some of his most notable clients have included Chamberflow, Indiana University, Briarhopper Pictures Los Angeles, Red Saturday, and Dan Varner. Bernard Porter, President of PCG Nashville told Louisville.com, "Tyler is a great talent and legitimate in his business practices. Thanks for supporting him and the arts in Kentucky." His concept for Liquid Sound Studios on Corydon Pike had been brewing for over 20 years since he was a kid working the Nashville studio scene.  Wise ‘Doc’ Smith and Morrison met over a decade ago and Morrison started sharing his vision with Smith and developing their friendship as they worked together countless hours working on numerous projects, producing and recording artists. Once Morrison had established Liquid Recording at the Greenville location he searched for the perfect piece of property for six years. Three and a half years ago he found and purchased their new location on Corydon Pike. The Liquid Sound Studios would then be incorporated and would house all of the various partners.

In May 2012 Morrison met John Krause and found they shared the same vision for a visual arts studio that could encompass a 5,500 sq. ft. area of the Corydon Pike building. Krause’s current lease was up and so he signed on to become a partner. One of the first projects Krause took on was the building of a huge 32’ x 12’ x 28’ infinity wall, which is unheard of in this region. Having that much depth of field for photography and film is overwhelming. An infinity wall is a white wall that can be used to transform the background into anything and is often used in commercials. Once he built his infinity wall Charlie Wagner and Hussain Ahmed saw the potential in film and reached out to Liquid Sound Studios and they would become the next partners in the endeavor.
