The Professional Roughstock Series is bringing 5 million dollars worth of horses and bulls to Kentucky Horse Park’s Alltech Arena on Friday, January 18 and Saturday, January 19 with both days’ events starting at 7:30 pm.
Professional Roughstock events showcase the top riders and livestock in the most dangerous rodeo events of bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, and bull riding all packed into a high energy 2-hour program.
Some of the nationally known riders participating in the Lexington Shootout are defending PRS World Champion Steven Peebles in bareback bronc, Seth Glause in bull riding, and Jesse Wright in saddle bronc, as well as almost two dozen National Finals Rodeo qualifiers. Big names like Kaycee Feild, JR Vezain, Jory Markiss, McKennon Wimberly, Chad Ferley, and Cort Scheer are coming.
The Lexington Shootout is the third event on the nationally televised 2013 PRS Tour.
Each night twelve riders from each discipline will have one riding opportunity in the first round. Those with the top four scores in each discipline will move on to the Wrangler Final Four Showdown. The riders with highest aggregate scores of the two nights will be crowned Lexington Shootout Champions. For more information on this event go to the Kentucky Horse Park website here.
