    The Kentucky Horse Park Foundation has announced its 2013 dates for Cross Country Schooling Days at the world famous cross country course at the Kentucky Horse Park.

    Cross country obstacles available for schooling are at levels novice through advanced, including combinations, similar to those found in competitions.

    The Kentucky Horse Park Foundation uses the Cross Country Schooling Days as a fundraiser for maintaining and improving the competition facilities year round.

    There will be two sessions per day. Weekday sessions times are noon to 4:00 pm, and 4:30 - 8:30 pm. The Weekend sessions will be 8:00 am to noon, and 12:30 to 4:30 pm.

    Cross country schooling dates for 2013 are as follows:

    Monday, May 6

    Tuesday, May 7

    Saturday, June 1

    Sunday, July 7

    Saturday, September 7

    Registration fee is $35 per horse per four hour session. From this fee $20 is considered a charitable donation and participants will receive a receipt.

    An additional one day trailer pass which is $20 or a $75 seasonal trailer pass must also be purchased at registration. Seasonal trailer passes can be purchased in advance by calling 859-259-4225. Limited stabling is available, but may not be available at all schooling dates, by calling 859-259-4219.

    A current coggins and health certificate are required for all horses participating and will be checked upon arrival at the park. All riders must wear an ASTM/SEI approved helmet, body-protecting vest, and approved medical armband.
