Two strangers fall in love, but that love begins to crack during a festival in Last Train to Nibroc, which opens on Thursday.
Last Train to Nibroc performances will go on Dec. 2, 3, 9, and 10 at 8 p.m. each night. Matinees will take place on Dec. 4 and 11 at 2:30 p.m. A dinner and show will also occur on Dec. 1 beginning at 6:45 p.m. All performances are to happen at Little Colonel Playhouse, located at 302 Mt. Mercy Drive in Crestwood, KY.
Tickets for each show are $15 for adults, $12 for students, and $12 for seniors 60 and over. Dinner reservations, meanwhile, are $18 extra. All tickets can be purchased at the door or reserved by calling 502-588-1557. Keep in mind, Little Colonel Playhouse does not accept credit cards. Last Train to Nibroc features two strangers who fall in love while on a train in December, 1940. May and Raleigh agree to attend the next Nibroc Festival. However, when they make it to the festival, their love for each other faces major tests.
Martha Frazier directed the production, which Arlene Hutton created.
Following Last Train to Nibroc, Little Colonel Playhouse will present the British thriller Something to Hide. Auditions will take place on Dec. 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. with the show taking place in February 2012.
