    Lakeside Arena has two KHJA approved hunter-jumper shows coming up this month

    On the weekends of March 9 - 10 and March 16 - 17, 2013 Lakeside Arena will be hosting  Hunter-Jumper Horse Shows. It‘s a new points year. These shows are Kentucky Hunter Jumper Association (KHJA) approved. On Saturday March 9 the show is Ohio Hunter-Jumper Association approved. Indoor arenas are heated. Class order may be moved around depending on number of entries.

    On Sunday, March 10 the Lakeside Micro Mini Prix 3’ will be held. $500 added money plus 50% jackpot with payback 1st through 6th place. You must show in one complete division both days of the show to qualify for prize money. This class will start after Training Jumpers. Entry fee is $50.

    On Saturday March 16 the Lakeside Hunter Derby will take place. This class will not start before 5 pm. Awards will be 1st through 8th place. Hunter Derby Classes will be 2’, 2’6”, 3’. Entry fee will be $50.

    Ring 1 - 8 am Classes/Divisions to be offered include: Walk-Trot Poles Divisions, Leadline, Cross Rails Divisions, Beginning Jumper 2’, Hopeful Jumper 2’6”-3’, 2’6” Gambler’s Choice, Schooling Jumper 3’-3’3”, Children’s/Adult Jumper 3’-3’3”, Open Jumper 3’3”-3’9”, Training Jumper 3’6’-3’9”

    Ring 2 - 8 am Classes/Divisions to be offered include: 2’ Warmup, 2‘ Hunter Classes, KHJA and OHJA 2’ Medal Classes, Lakeside Medal 2’, KHJA and OHJA 3’ Medal Classes, Lakeside Medal 3’, KHJA and OHJA 2’6” Medal Classes, Lakeside Medal 2’6”, Children’s Hunter Pony, 2’6“ Hunter Classes, 3’ Hunter Classes

    Schooling will be allowed Friday prior to the show 12-8 pm and on Saturday and Sunday 6-7:30 am.

    Awards to 6 ribbons. In jumper classes $3 of each entry will be accumulated and divided in the following manner: 1st-40%, 2nd-30%, 3rd-20%, 4th-10%

    Classes must fill (3) in order for a payback. Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded in each division each day. Circuit High Point awarded in each division . Mush show 3 out of 4 days for February and March to qualify for Circuit High Point Awards.

    Show fees are as follows: LSA, KHJA, OHJA Medal Classes - $21 per class, Hunter & Equitation - $16 per class, Jumper - $19 per class, Grounds fee for non-stabled horses $15 per day per horse, Office/Schooling Fee - $7 per horse per day, Non-exhibited horses - $20 per horse per day, Friday night schooling of non-showing horses - $35.

    All horses must have a current Negative Coggins and Health Certificate.

    Stalls are available but you need to reserve these in advance please. Stalls are $55 and include bedding, extra shavings available for $7.50 per bag. To reserve stalls contact Bruce Brown at (859)489-4885.
