It’s a good idea to drink a Red Bull or 5-hour Energy this evening. You’ll need to be on your a-game for today and tomorrow’s Kentuckiana’s Pride Fest 2011. Presented by Absolut, this festival is guaranteed to be a hit all weekend long. Come join the community at the Belvedere and celebrate diversity with food, drinks, entertainment, and showcases from area businesses and organizations. This year’s theme is “I am One, We are Many.”

Beginning at 6PM, Tryangles Cocktail Bar will host a camo-and-red themed parade. Don’t go too hard; use caution while pregaming to ensure a puke-free appearance at the parade.

The Kentuckiana Pride Festival Parade will kick off at 8PM in downtown Louisville on Market, Preston and Main Streets. Show your support by marching in the streets! Afterwards, head to the Belvedere at 8:45PM for the Friday Night Fest. Attendance and entrance are both free.

LGGB (Louisville Guerilla Gay Bar) will take part in the parade where they’ll distribute arm bands. These bands will “get you into any bar at 4th street cover-free as well as provide you with VIP access and food and drink specials all night to most 4th Street Live bars and restaurants!” The Pride Fest after party will be at Hotel Nightclub around 1AM.

On Saturday you can expect to see some great performances at the Belvedere. From noon until 11PM, the stage will rock out with performances by Cazwell, Roxy Cottontail, Adam Barta, Jade (from RuPaul's Drag Race Season 1), and Pheonix (from RuPaul's Drag Race season 3), to name a few. Click here for Saturday’s full stage line-up. Enjoy!
