The night before Derby, 1,300 people from around the country will gather together at The Galt House Inn and Suites for The Julep Ball. This sold-out event benefits the James Graham Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville and is presented by Southern Wine and Spirits.
This black-tie soiree features a celebrity red-carpet entrance, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing and silent auction. Guests can kick off a great Derby weekend by mingling with celebrities while donating to a great cause. The Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville provides one of the highest levels of cancer treatment and care in the region.
This year's celebrity guest list is about as colorful and diverse as the city of Louisville. Expected attendees range from Nobel Peace Prize Winner and co-discoverer of DNA, Dr. James Watson to a bunch of other non-Nobel Prize Winners, such as Bob the Bachelor and famed romance novelist, Nora Roberts.
An eclectic blend of entertainers, scientists, athletes and writers will storm the red carpet and hobnob with guests all night long at The Julep Ball.
