Highland Youth Recreation (HYR), one of Louisville’s most recognizable recreational soccer clubs, has fall 2010 soccer registration going on now through Saturday, August 21st. Be sure to get your youngsters signed up!

The season begins on Saturday, September 18th and ends November 6th. Practices will be weekly and begin the week of September 12th. Age groups of teams begin at 5-6 year-olds and go up through adult co-ed leagues of 18 and older. League fees are $50 per player, or $60 if registration is after the 8/21/10 deadline.

HYR is one of Louisville’s oldest soccer leagues as it got its start back in 1976. Using the fields at Atherton High School, Highland Youth Recreation has made a name for itself across the community in not only sports, but also in sportsmanship. They do not put an emphasis on winning or keeping score, but rather in the experience of teamwork, reaching individual potential and learning the sport.

Interested parents or players can get in on this fall’s season by online registration, in-person registration on August 7th, 14th & 21st from 1-4 pm at Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church (1722 Bardstown Road) or, you can mail in your registration to: Highland Youth Ministries 1140, Cherokee Road, 40204.
