The 5th Annual Old Friends Along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® fundraiser, that benefits Old Friends thoroughbred retirement facility down in Georgetown, Kentucky, will be hosted by the Seelbach Hilton Hotel on February 23, 2013.
The event begins at 6 pm on Saturday, February 23 at the hotel, located at 500 South Fourth Street in downtown Louisville. The benefit will be highlighted by a four-course Bourbon themed feast. Live and silent auctions will be taking place, including items of exclusive equine artwork, autographed Bourbon items, racing memorabilia, fine jewelry, and more.
The night begins in the The Seelbach’s beautiful Grand Ballroom where a wide variety of appetizers will be served and Kentucky’s famous iconic distilleries will offer samples of their finest brands, including Four Roses, Heaven Hill, Jim Beam, Woodford Reserve, and Town Branch. Guests then will proceed to the hotel’s famous award winning Oakroom for the main two course dinner designed by the Seelbach’s Chef de Cuisine Patrick Roney.

The first course is as follows:
Pan Roasted Scallops
Shitake Mushroom and Sweet Pea Puree
Lemon Bourbon Beurre Blanc
The second course consists of the following:
Bacon Wrapped Pork Loin
White Bean and Brussels Sprout Cassoulet
Bourbon Braised Belly
As if your taste buds haven’t been in heaven enough guests will return to the ballroom for an assortment of wonderful desserts from pastry chef Bridget Knight and enjoy the action of the live auction.

The Seelbach also offers Kentucky Bourbon Trail© guests a special “Take the elevator home” room rate of $119 that can be reserved along with your tickets. Sunday Brunch is available at the hotel from 10 am to 2 pm for $29 per person.
