    Bit to Do

It is Carriage Driving weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park on June 28-30

The Carriage Association of America (CAA) will be gathering at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park for their Carriage Festival. Beautiful horses, shiny carriages, and their drivers and passengers will be decked out for the occasion.

Part of the activities will include the CAA’s annual carriage showcase of carriages that will be judged on their quality and completeness of their restoration. A wide variety of antique and traditional style reproduction vehicles will be on display. Also included will be an antique car show.

Sunday morning brings a beautiful drive through the Kentucky Horse Park and neighboring farms.

I’ve been at the Kentucky Horse Park when this event was going on before and it is a beautiful nostalgic sight to see all the carriages and glistening horses being driven by those in period costume. I highly recommend this event.

The Kentucky Horse Park is located at 4089 Iron Works Parkway, Lexington, Kentucky 40511.
