After 78,753 ventured to Churchill Downs for the first Hullabalou Music Festival inspite of soaring temperatures, many are asking, "Will there be another?"
Churchill Downs Entertainment Group President Steve Sexton answered today in the affirmative.
"The answer to that question is a resounding yes!" said Sexton.
According to Churchill officials, the event drew fans from 47 states and Canada to hear 66 artists, including headliners Bon Jovi, Kenny Chesney, and the Dave Matthews Band.
"Fans are telling us they had a great experience," Sexton added, "and we're really pleased by the overwhelming response to the first Hullabalou Music Festival from the thousands of fans in our region and those who visited Churchill Downs from throughout North America."
On September 12th, the track will play host to the first Fork, Cork & Style with chef Emeril Lagasse. More traditional fare of the equine variety begins again on October 31st with the Opening of the Fall Meet, and the Breeders' Cup World Championships return to the historic Twin Spires on November 5th and 6th.
