Rajon Rondo had a decent week but Dallas didn’t, Gorgui Dieng had a great game before getting injured, Russ Smith played well in the D-League while Earl Clark made his return to the big league.

Here’s a closer look at how Rondo and the three University of Louisville products on NBA rosters did in the 22nd week of the season.

Rondo (Dallas Mavericks): The Louisville native, former University of Kentucky standout point guard and ninth-year pro averaged 11.3 points, 8.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds in three games for the Mavs, who went 1-2.

Rondo had seven points, five rebounds and five assists in Dallas’ 94-76 loss at San Antonio last Friday night. He was 3-for-10 from the field and 1 of 1 from the free throw line while also recording one steal and four turnovers in 32 minutes.

Rondo registered 17 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds in the Mavs’ 104-99 loss at Indiana on Sunday. He was 8 for 14 from the field and 1 of 1 from the free throw line while also finishing with two steals, one blocked shot and two turnovers in 38 minutes.

Rondo tallied 10 points and 10 assists in Dallas’ 135-131 win at Oklahoma City on Wednesday night. He was 5 for 12 from the field and also had one rebound, one steal and one turnover in 29 minutes.

For the season Rondo is averaging 8.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and eight assists per game for the Mavs (46-29), who are fourth in the Southwest Division and seventh overall in the Western Conference.

Clark (Brooklyn Nets): The sixth-year forward from UofL, who was signed to a 10-day contract by the Nets last week, played in a trio of games, all victories.

Clark, who played for the Cavaliers and Knicks last season before heading to the Chinese Basketball Association,  scored seven points and had one rebound in Brooklyn’s 106-98 win over Cleveland last Friday night. He was 3 for 5 from the field, including 1 of 3 from 3-point range, while recording one steal in 11 minutes.

Clark had four points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots in the Nets’ 107-99 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. He was 2 for 10 from the field, including 0 of 5 from 3-point range, to go along with one turnover in 20 minutes.

Clark had no points, missing his only shot, and one turnover in 2 minutes of Brooklyn’s 111-106 win over Indiana on Tuesday night.

Clark averaged 3.7 points and three rebounds in those three games.

Dieng (Minnesota Timberwolves): The second-year center from UofL had his 18th double-double of the season last Friday night before getting injured in the T-Wolves’ next game.

Dieng tallied 18 points and 12 rebounds in Minnesota’s 120-110 loss at Houston last Friday. He was 7 for 11 from the field and 4 of 4 from the free throw line while recording four assists, one blocked shot and one steal in 38 minutes.

Two days later, however, Dieng suffered a concussion in the T-Wolves’ 110-88 loss at New Orleans. He 0-for-1 from the field, but had three rebounds and three blocked shots in 9 minutes before getting hit in the head.

Dieng then sat out Minnesota’s 104-84 loss to Utah on Monday night and its 113-99 loss to Toronto on Wednesday night.

Dieng is averaging 9.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and two assists per game on the season for Minnesota (16-59), which has the worst record in the Western Conference.

Smith (Memphis Grizzlies): The rookie guard from UofL averaged 19 points in two games for the Iowa Energy, the Grizzlies’ NBA Development League affiliate.

Russdiculous, who is averaging 18.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists in the D-League this season, scored 15 and 23 points in a pair of Energy losses to Canton while missing one win and two losses by Memphis.

So far this season Smith is averaging 1.4 points per game in nine NBA games - six with the New Orleans Pelicans and three with Memphis (51-24), which is tied for first (with Houston) in the Southwest Division and is second overall in the Western Conference.
