After customer’s suggestions to purchase the nearby abandoned KFC Eleven space, Holy Grale operators have proposed that the space be returned to its original use: a community space.

In a GoFundMe page, Holy Grale operators explain that in the 1870’s the KFC Eleven space used to be filled by Zehnder’s biergarten, “a family-friendly green space where people would join to drink beer, eat, listen to music, and play games.”

They say that they cannot afford to purchase the $1.5 million dollar property but this morning it dawned on them that with funds and support from the community progress can be made to return this space back to a place where concerts, cookouts, dances, and movie nights were held. Architect Ted Payne, of local Copper & Kings renown, is on board and already has some ideas for the property.

Yum! Brands is considering a purchase proposal Wednesday, June 10, so Holy Grale operators ask that you pledge your supports through your words or pocketbooks to make for a successful crowd funding campaign.

The following are ways Holy Grale says you get involved:

"SEND US A LETTER OF SUPPORT: Please email us a letter expressing your support for this idea with your name, address, and phone number - (with the subject line: "Turn KFC 11 into a green community space") before 9am tomorrow (WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10th).

HELP SPREAD THE WORD!: Share this message on your Facebook page, Tweet It!, send an email to your friends and family asking them to help spread the word and write a letter of support. Let's make this campaign to go viral.

MAKE A DONATION ON OUR GO FUND ME PAGE! Any commitment of support will help further the consideration of our cause.

CAN YOU HELP US? EMAIL US! Maybe you work for the city or have an organization, or institution that would like to offer support, advise, has a good idea or lead, etc. Please email us with anything you may find helpful!"

The nearby bar Gralehaus has already pledged its support via social media.
