    Bit to Do

    Edenside Christian Church

The sign on the front lawn of the historic Edenside Christian Church at Bardstown Road and Baringer Avenue in the heart of the Highlands thanks the reader for community support over the last 106 years.   Courier Journal writer Taylor Harrison, in the July 28, 2014 edition of the newspaper, tells the rest of the story: i.e., the congregation has stopped meeting and the building and grounds will be sold.  The church was built in 1909 and the distinctive church tower, a Highlands landmark, was completed in 1927.  No announcements on potential future use of the property.
