If you’re like me, your dog is as much a member of your family as any human member—they just happen to have a little more fur.  Meet Phoebe Tallulah Stevens, by the way:

So what are some ways that you and your pooch can celebrate the season together?

    For stocking-stuffers—Barkstown Road

For exercise— Go Santa Go 5k

No Kill Louisville will host a festive 5k fundraiser Saturday, December 7, at the Louisville Waterfront. The event will raise money for a variety of No Kill Louisville programs and services, which include fosters and adoptions, a Pet Food Bank for low-income members of the community, and low-cost spay and neuter vouchers.

For good— Bow Wow Meow Christmas Boutique

This weekend (December 6th, 7th, & 8th) The Animal Care Society is having their annual Bow Wow Meow Christmas Boutique! For bling-- The Queen's Jewels

Made by a dauchshund-loving Louisvillian, Rhonda Curry's brand of hand-printed metal jewelry include phrases such as "Love is a Four-Legged Word," or "I Love My Chiweenie" (that one, made for my mother about our chihuahua-dachshund mix). All orders can be personalized!
