Women share secrets, fears, and hilarious gossip in Steel Magnolias, which the Shelby County Community Theatre will present this weekend.

Steel Magnolias will take place on June 6, 7, 13, and 14 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinees will take place on June 8 and 15 at 2:30 p.m. All performances will be at the Shelby County Community Theatre, located at 801 Main Street in Shelbyville, KY.

Tickets for each show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 62 and over, and $10 for students. Due to limited seating, reservations are strongly recommended. All reservations can be made by calling 502-633-0242.

Steel Magnolias brings together women of different backgrounds in a beauty salon they frequent. During their time in the shop, they'll exchange secrets, fears, and genuine love for everyone. They'll also present the latest gossip, both hilarious and neighborly.

Robert Harling created Steel Magnolias, which Rick Reinle directed for the Shelby County Community Theatre.

Steel Magnolias is the Shelby County Community Theatre's final show for the 2013-14 season. The group will return in September and October for performances of Disney's Beauty and the Beast and Necessary Targets. Audition information can be found at this website.
