There is going to be a free workshop tomorrow to help restaurants offer healthy meals that taste good. This will be a free half-day workshop to show local restaurant owners how to prepare meals that will be healthy and satisfying. This will make it easier for everyone to be able to enjoy a healthier lifestyle that we have been requesting for so long. The workshop will be held at Sullivan University (3101 Bardstown Rd.) from 9 a.m. till noon. This will only be on January 20 (tomorrow).

This workshop will provide customers with less fattening, lower sodium, and lower calorie selections. So if you’re a chef or restaurant owner I would suggest going to this workshop in order to provide healthier meals for your customers; because a healthy customer is a happy customer. The healthier we make our city the better we will be as a whole. Working together to fight against an unhealthy lifestyle will better each of us, and being healthy really does mean something.

When we eat healthy we start making better decisions for our family. We help to fight off diseases and this gives each of us the opportunity for longer life and a healthier one. We can each learn to not add in the bad items when we cook our foods and still make a tasty meal. To know that not all healthy food tastes bland is a good thing. Because healthy food really can taste as good as that burger from McDonald’s you just have to give it a shot.

This workshop will help each of us accomplish these goals. If you’re interested in registering for the free workshop or for more information you can contact Ann Badger at 502-574-5872 or ann.badger@louisvilleky.gov. I stress that each of us try to make this workshop so that we have the opportunity to make Louisville one of the healthiest cities around. Good luck and try to make it out!
