Summer is here and the living is easy. We rise each morning a little later with the kids and worries of homework and juggling the workload are replaced with filling the schedule with fun and sunscreen. It's family time, relaxation time, hose pipe and backyard bbq time. Louisville loves summer and one way she shows it with is with the free movie series at Iroquois Amphitheater. Nothing says summer like a movie among the fireflies.
Throughout the summer, a host of free family-friendly films are scheduled to air at the beautiful outdoor space located along New Cut/Taylor Boulevard in South Louisville. If you've never been, the historic site was remodeled in 2003 and offers a lovely open-air arena with ample seating and coverage from the elements. A great place to take in an outdoor movie, most of which are timeless classics, on a lazy summer night. Concessions are available each night, but outside food and drink are prohibited.
