Amelia Robinson of Enchanted Arts and her assistant Alexis’ personalities are as enchanting as their studio. The studio itself  promotes a calm and peaceful surrounding. Amelia and Alexis were excited to accept me into the studio and show me around and tell me around. Being an art connoisseur, I was excited to learn about it and the different styles that were available for artists to create. I learned that Amelia MA, LPCA has worked for 6 years in healing arts. She has a background in art therapy and creative expression counseling. She has worked as a therapist, artist, and dancer in a community project Spirit Dance, designed and facilitated creativity camps for children and worked as a college professor. The studio has a variety of art material available from mixed media to painting, clay, jewelry, making, chalks: about anything an artist thinks they want to attempt.

Initially, the way I found Enchanted Arts was on my way to another exhibit at Mellwood Arts and Entertainment Center. Noticing a Gratitude Tree in the hallway that you wrote on a strip of cloth “what I am most thankful for” and wove it into the tree, I decided to participate and began talking to the owners. I had my sister with me that night and she also wove a cloth into the tree. We thought it was a wonderful community project. Alexis told me later they had the most fun molding the tree from chicken wire and it was created to take to the  Mighty Kindness Harvest Hootenanny and Gratitude Project, called the Gratitude Tree of Abundant Blessings.

The Studio has hours and rates from monthly for individual or family to drop in. Open Studio Hours are Friday and Saturdays and the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. Extended membership and College Student discounts apply. Enchanted Arts gives artist the opportunity to sell their art in studio. Mentoring is available after a program.
