More than just a title belt is on the line in The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity, which opens at Actors Theatre tomorrow.

The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity will take place at various times from Jan. 3-Feb. 4.  All performances are to happen in the Bingham Theatre at Actors Theatre, located at 316 W. Main Street in downtown Louisville.

Ticket prices depend on the day and seat, and all tickets range from $35 to $49 per person.  Tickets can be purchased by going to the box office, calling the box office at 502-584-1205, or going to the Actors Theatre website.

The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity finds the pro-wrestling champion, Chad Deity, and a smart-mouthed Indian kid, chosen by Macedonio "The Mace" Guerra, facing more than just a wrestling match.  The three will find themselves dealing with racial stereotypes and political correctness.

Kristoffer Diaz created the script, and KJ Sanchez directed the production.

During Chad Deity's run, Actors Theatre will also present The Tens, an evening of short plays performed by the Actors Theatre's Apprentice/Intern Company.  The free shows will run from Jan. 10-13.  More information can be found at the Actors Theatre website.
