Louisville pizza joint, Impellizzeri's is looking for local musicians to form a house band at their new downtown location near the YUM Center. The restaurant is looking for talented musicians for regular Friday and Saturday night gigs, as well as special events.

Musicians are expected to be familiar with and have a background in popular jazz and blues. Impellizzeri's partner, Bruce Besten is interested in finding the right group of people to form a band with vocals, guitar, drums and bass, as well as horns, piano and keyboards.

According to Besten, "It should be a good fit for musicians looking for a steady job that doesn't require much moving around."

Any musician interested, should give Besten a call at (502) 541-1988.

Impellizzeri's has dubbed themselves, the creator of the original Louisville pizza. The restaurant is a six-time "Best of Louisville Magazine" winner. The new downtown location is just one of three Impellizzeri's locations across Louisville.

The restaurant is located at 110 West Main St. and can be reached by phone at (502) 589-4900.
