He’ll be all shook up, his blues eyes might be cryin’ in the rain (like a hound-dog), and I’m sure he’ll have a blue Christmas if you don’t remember his birthday this year. Never fear, Wee Rock of Louisville has taken care of business and organized an all-ages Elvis birthday party that is sure to make the jailhouse rock!

Join owner Heidi Howe at the Mama’s Hip, 1559 Bardstown Road, on January 8th from 12:00-1:30 for an all-Elvis music extravaganza. The party is free and open to the public and will feature a 30-minute Elvis sing along, an all-ages Elvis karaoke contest (the winner will receive a 10-week session of Wee Rock classes), and a sampling of peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

Wee Rock is a local music program that aims to, according to their press release, “. . . strengthen families and communities through music making experiences that are affordable, fun, education, and convenient.” For more information, contact Heidi Howe at

Don’t be cruel. Honor the myth, the man, the legend with Wee Rock and there will sure be a whole lotta‘ shakin‘ goin‘ on!
