Got a dirty dog in need of a refreshing day?

On Sunday, September 12th from 12noon-2 pm, the Jewish Community Center (3600 Dutchman's Lane) will be sponsoring a "Doggy Dip" for pets.  The cost is $5 for up to two pets, with $2 for each additional dog.  A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Shamrock Foundation, www.shamrockpets.org.

It's the second year for the event and organizers hope to get as many people and donations as possible to help out the foundation.  Fitness Manager Tayo Amos encourages people to bring their favorite pet out to the Jewish Community Center Family Pool stating "Whoever said you can't buy happiness forgot about dogs and little puppies!".

As with any event featuring our furriest friends, there are some rules that will apply to both dogs and owners, such as: providing proof of vaccinations of Parvo, Bordetella, Rabies & Distemper.  Dogs do not have to be spayed or neutered, but those in heat should stay at home.  Also, remember if they aren't in the pool, they need to  be on a leash!

All sized dogs are welcome and encouraged to attend.  Prizes will also be on hand, so grab Fido and treat him to a dog-gone good time this weekend!

For more information, please call the JCC at (502) 238-2742 or (502) 238-2758.
