Miss Nelson’s class is the worst behaved in the whole school. Spitballs flying across the room, paper airplanes sailing every which way, and uncontrollable children send the gentle, long-suffering teacher, Miss Nelson, over the edge. But the students of Room 207 are in for a surprise when Miss Nelson turns up missing and is replaced by Viola Swamp, a mean substitute teacher who assigns heaps of homework and wields her ruler like a sword! In desperation, the students set out to find their beloved Miss Nelson, and along the way they learn lessons of appreciation and respect.
The musical version of MISS NELSON IS MISSING was adapted from the popular children’s book written by Harry Allard and James Marshall. The book, music, and lyrics were written by Joan Cushing. Musical numbers featured are “The Worst Kids Of All”, “Carried Away”, “What If”, and more!
MISS NELSON IS MISSING is under the direction of Matt Wallace and the cast will include Heather Paige Folsom as Miss Nelson, Alonzo Richmond, Kiersten Vorheis, Lem Jackson, Abigail Bailey Maupin, and Cary Wiger.
