Miss Nelson’s class is the worst behaved in the whole school. Spitballs flying across the room, paper airplanes sailing every which way, and uncontrollable children send the gentle, long-suffering teacher, Miss Nelson, over the edge. But the students of Room 207 are in for a surprise when Miss Nelson turns up missing and is replaced by Viola Swamp, a mean substitute teacher who assigns heaps of homework and wields her ruler like a sword! In desperation, the students set out to find their beloved Miss Nelson, and along the way they learn lessons of appreciation and respect.

The musical version of MISS NELSON IS MISSING was adapted from the popular children’s book written by Harry Allard and James Marshall. The book, music, and lyrics were written by Joan Cushing. Musical numbers featured are “The Worst Kids Of All”, “Carried Away”, “What If”, and more!

MISS NELSON IS MISSING is under the direction of Matt Wallace and the cast will include Heather Paige Folsom as Miss Nelson, Alonzo Richmond, Kiersten Vorheis, Lem Jackson, Abigail Bailey Maupin, and Cary Wiger.

All public performances of MISS NELSON IS MISSING are on Saturdays with Breakfast at 9:00 a.m. and Lunch at 12:00 p.m. All performances feature a kid friendly menu and are one hour in length. This production is most suitable for ages 3 - 12.

School performances of MISS NELSON IS MISSING are available throughout the week and are scheduled for October 10, 11, 13, 14, 17, 18, 21, 24, 27, & 28, 2011. Lesson Plans that meet the Kentucky and Indiana academic goals are made available to enhance the educational opportunities.

    About Roxane Haynes

I am a working mother of four kids, age five and under, this includes two singletons and a set of twins. When I say working, I mean that I stay at home with them, but work my butt off to take care of them and get the "usual" things done for our home. I also help my husband with our business when I can. B.K. (before kids) I worked in the Human Resource field. Stay At Home Mom is by far my favorite career choice to date.
