The Arkansas Derby runner-up, one of trainer Todd Pletcher's "Todd Squad," has finished in the money in all but one of his six career starts.
Super Saver (7-1) jumped into the Derby favorite slot Friday afternoon thanks in large part to jockey Calvin Borel, who is very popular among the Churchill Downs crowd. Borel has guided Super Saver to a first and a second in his two mounts. The horse also has a first and a second in his two lifetime starts on wet dirt.
The WinStar Farm, LLC horse, who'll start from the No. 4 post position, has $401,232 lifetime earnings.
