Delta Dental of Kentucky has joined #GivingTuesday, a first of its kind effort that will harness the collective power of a unique blend of partners—charities, families, businesses and individuals—to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season.

Coinciding with the Thanksgiving Holiday and the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday will inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support and help create a better world. Taking place today, December 2, 2014

     – #GivingTuesday will harness the power of social media to create a national moment around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how BlackFriday

and Cyber Monday have become days that are, today, synonymous with holiday shopping.

To participate with Delta Dental of Kentucky’s contest for this week, go to their Facebook Page and you will find the #DeltaDentalOfKentucky image for you to fill in you answer. Take a selfie with the following order: #unselfie “I give because … (Fill in your answer) and include #GivingTuesday and #DeltaDentalKy in the image as well.

You can make a sign and get creative with it. Or you can download the image from the Dental Dental of Kentucky Facebook page and improvise from there. One lucky client will receive a new electronic toothbrush. There is no limit on how many #unselfies a client can post. The winner will be announced on Wednesday December 3, 2014

    . Good luck!
