Walden Theatre presents the C.S. Lewis classic The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe beginning tonight, October 30.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is being presented on Oct. 30, 31, and Nov.1 at 7:30 p.m. each night. All performances will take place on the Nancy Niles Sexton stage at Walden Theatre, located at 1123 Payne Street in the Highlands. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling Walden Theatre at 502-589-0084.

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe finds two brothers and two sisters sent to the country to escape World II era London.  Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie find that an ancient wardrobe in the country house leads to Narnia, a fantasy world.  Narnia has been taken over by the white witch Jadis and her curse of eternal winter, and the Pevensies begin a grand adventure to restore the rightful ruler of Narnia. C.S. Lewis's The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is the second in his Narnia series, and by far the most famous.

Joseph Robinette adapted the production from the famous C.S. Lewis novel. Melinda Crecelius directed the production. Following The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Walden Theatre will present In the Pony Palace and Football as part of the Slant Culture series. Those productions will go on beginning Nov. 14.
