The headless horsemen makes his way to Walden Theatre in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, which opens Wednesday.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow performances are to happen Oct. 31, Nov. 1, and 2 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  All performances will take place at Walden Theatre, located at 1123 Payne Street in the Highlands.

The Young Company Production tickets can be purchased at the Walden Theatre box office or by calling Walden Theatre at 502-589-0084.  More information on the show can also be found at the Walden Theatre website.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow play brings the Washington Irving short story to life.  That geeky, lovelorn Ichabod Crane is the new schoolmaster in town.  He falls in love with a village lady, but will she accept his heart?  Meanwhile, Crane hears the story of a "headless horseman" that makes his rides late at night.  Is it just superstition...or something much more?

Brian Hinds directed The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, which is a Youth Company Production.  Christopher Cartmill adapted Irving's story for the stage.

Following Sleepy Hollow, Walden Theatre will participate in the Slant Culture Series with performances of Salvation Road.  That show will open on Nov. 8.
