Is there really a better thing that a loaded bill of music...from your favorite local artists...for five days in a row...for free?! No, I didn't think so.

From January 27-31, you can watch some of Louisville's finest musicians at some of Louisville's finest music venues. Do502, an event calendar and local listings website, organized this event. They have summed up the free week in this way, according to their website: "Free Week. It’s about Louisville being awesome. Free Shows. Awesome Bands. FREE WEEK is a chance for local bands, venues, and the community to unite to celebrate the new year in tandem with all things awesome about the local music scene."

One the best dividends of this idea is that these local bands could gain many more fans than they have now with free week's no cost incentive. If you don't know Louisville music, free week is a great time to start.

The lineup of bands is some of the city's best too. It's crazy that the shows are free. I would recommend a night to you, but I would be doing you the disservice there. Go to them all. It will cost you nothing to do so. Get a listen to Louisville's best music for no cost at all.
