    Bit to Do

If you’ve ever taken a bite of Chef Kristina Addington’s 100% plant-based loaded cheesy mac topped with bacon, you’ve had your mind officially blown. It’s nearly impossible to not completely melt after just the first bite of her deliciously healthy fare, and it’s also nearly impossible to believe that it’s all completely vegan and made fresh right here in Louisville.

Winner of the hit Food Network show, Cutthroat Kitchen and the owner of Louisville’s V-Grits food truck, Kristina Addington has been satisfying the taste buds of vegans and vegetarians while tempting the city’s meat eaters since she opened her business in the spring. And her vegan loaded cheesy mac isn’t all she has to offer.

The V-Grits food truck has quickly become one of Louisville’s most popular mobile food establishments, offering up a full daily menu of juicy vegan burgers, mouth watering loaded potato chips and rotating specials like classically delicious chicken and waffles, delectable chicken sandwiches and crave-worthy tacos. Made with the freshest earth-friendly ingredients, what’s not to love?

Chef Kristina Addington will be sharing her impressive success story this week at Louisville’s second official meeting of the city’s newest free lecture series, Connecting Things. Guests can expect to learn about the beginning of Addington’s carreer as a chef, just how she became a nationally known star on Food Network and accomplished her dream of opening her own business while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Also be expecting some pointers on how Louisville’s new chefs and entrepreneurs can do the same!

Connecting Things is happening this Wednesday, September 16 from 8:30am – 10am at Via Studio located at 223 Clay Street in NuLu. This new lecture series is an excellent way to meet new people in the city and network with small business owners. It's free, everyone is invited and there will be free coffee!

For more information on Connecting Things Louisville, visit the official website and follow the lecture series on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. And to find out where V-Grits will be this week, check out the food truck’s own official website!
